Already this past weekend, we reached 90%. According to the DataTur Hotel Monitoring Program, which tracks weekly occupancy results in 70 destinations and tourist corridors internationally, the predictions for Puerto Vallarta indicated a 78% occupancy rate for the two holiday weeks, with peak numbers expected around Christmas and New Year’s. The city eagerly awaits the arrival of a significant number of visitors from Friday, December 29th, to Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024.
Additionally, Puerto Vallarta continues to rank among the top 10 destinations on Airbnb for New Year’s celebrations. Airbnb offers approximately 7,800 units in the city, ranging from one to ten rooms, providing diverse and comfortable accommodation options for travelers. Nolasco emphasized the significance of Airbnb’s contribution, stating, “Airbnb has positioned our city in the top 10 for several years now. It represents an important contribution of 3% for the destination. To maintain this high ranking, we must aim for an occupancy rate of around 85% to 90% to ensure a successful year-end closing.”
