PUERTO VALLARTA (PVDN) – The real estate sector in Jalisco is poised to end the year on a positive note, expecting a growth rate of 6 percent compared to last year’s figures. This optimistic outlook was shared by Mario Romo Alarcón, the current president of the Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals (AMPI).
Speaking at the inauguration of the Thirty-second Real Estate Forum at Expo Guadalajara, Romo Alarcón emphasized the resilience and vibrancy of the real estate market. “People haven’t stopped renting or buying homes. The demand remains high, and developers are constantly seeking innovative ways to offer better cost solutions in their developments,” he said.
Despite the hike in rental prices, the city continues to experience robust renting activities. “It’s impressive to note the momentum in the pre-sale and sales sectors. We’ve noticed significant real estate investments, predominantly in Moderna, Andares, and Providencia areas,” Romo Alarcón detailed.
However, the AMPI president believes there’s room for growth and improvement, especially in making housing accessible and sustainable. Romo Alarcón addressed a critical challenge for the city: “We need to intensify our efforts in promoting sustainability in housing. I urge developers to focus on crafting more affordable, eco-friendly homes that cater to every citizen,” he urged.
The Real Estate Forum, which will see the participation of various experts and authorities from both the municipal and state levels, serves as an essential platform for discussions and collaborations to enhance the region’s real estate landscape.
