What does Bucerías mean?
The word Bucerías means “place of divers”, and this 8-kilometer stretch of white sand and blue waters is ideal for surfing, boogie swimming, and collecting shells. Some other attractions include riding a bike or scooter, or relaxing while you admire the sunsets. You can try fishing in the high seas for species such as sailfish, marlin, roosterfish, bull, mullet and snook, or you might participate in the traditional religious festivals of the Virgen de la Paz, in the month of January. These consist of pilgrimages by sea, in boats adorned with live representations and religious motifs, fireworks, dances, Mexican snacks, and much more.
