Please take the following into consideration, property taxes are very very
low in Mexico, for a 4 bedroom / 3.5 bath house with a pool in a nice area
can be as low as $175.00 USD a year, as a result closing costs are higher
than in the USA /Canada. Average closing costs to all the various
government entities is about 5% of purchase price (this number can
sometimes be higher or lower depending on the subject property).
Real Estate Prices & Currencies
You can make an offer in USD, CAD or MXN, however our Multiple Listing System in this geographic area has all
prices listed in USD. Most owners from USA will require payment in USD. Most owners from Mexico will accept
MXN or USD. Most owners from Canada will accept CAD or USD. Ultimately this currency that you choose to
make an offer in, can be negotiated, but all property prices are listed in USD.
